Peanut Butter Cookie Cake

So it was definitely time for the guys and me to make another epic mealtime (can I get a #FTB?). The first time we made awesome chili nachos with a bacon weave and close to a kilogram of cheese...The second time we made red velvet brownies topped with four packages of cookie and cream chocolate and a can of condensed milk...The third time we made a bowel destroying cookie calzone, which was comprised of basically two packages of barely baked cookie dough and a lot of Reese's Pieces, all jammed together. What did we do this time?

Naturally we went with a dessert again (real food ain't cheap!). After some hasty planning, a shopping list made on the fly, and some interesting cooking ideas we came up with the Peanut Butter Cookie Cake.

Prepare your insulin levels for a thrill ride.

So what is the abomination to the left, and more importantly, how do you make it? It is pretty simple and, as usual, fail safe.

Buy a box of your favorite cake mix from the store (we used birthday flavor), and bake it. Set to the side to cool.

Then, using the recipe provided on the side of any sugary peanut butter jar (like Skippy or whatever), prepare the dough used for two batches of cookies. Form the dough into two gigantic cookies, the same size as the cake (so they can stack properly. We used three circular                                                                               pans).

Bake the giant peanut butter cookies separately, and then, when they are cooled, remove them from the pans. Place one of the giant cookies down as the base, place the cake in the middle, and then finish the behemoth by placing the final giant cookie on top. Top with ice cream (this is a must since some liquid must be added to combat the dryness), whipped cream, and anything else with sugar you have in your pantry. Chocolate/caramel sauce, sprinkles, chocolate chips...Just do it!

Hope you like the recipe! (It isn't much of one but it tasted pretty awesome).
